The African-Asian Union (AFASU) held a conference chaired by Dr. Ahmed Rezq and the health sector ambassador, to launch the Africa Health campaign, which is the first initiative of its kind in Africa, which aims to raise the efficiency of medical personnel and train doctors and medical staff on the latest technologies in the field of cardiovascular diseases. The initiative also aims to improve the level of medical services provided to Egyptian and African citizens in accordance with international standards. The Union also celebrated the success of their trip to Tanzania, where Dr. Ahmed Rezq performed nearly fifty heart catheterization operations. He also trained doctors and organized training workshops for doctors there in the field of complex therapeutic catheters and percutaneous treatment of valvular heart diseases.
Dr. Ahmed Rezq always undertakes to improve medical services, raise the efficiency of medical personnel, and exchange foreign experiences with European and American universities. Dr. Ahmed Rezq also aspires to organize voluntary campaigns to treat the citizens of Egypt, and he hopes that the initiative will extend to all neighboring African and Asian countries.
On the sidelines of the conference, Dr. Ahmed Rezq was invited to the largest medical conference in Bangladesh to give his lecture there after the invitation of the Bangladesh Heart Association. A medical cooperation protocol was also signed with the largest medical center in the city of Taif in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with Mr. Ahmed Al-Maliki to activate medical tourism to receive patients for treatment at Town Hospital in the Fifth Settlement, in which Dr. Ahmed Rezq heads the Cardiovascular Department.
In his speech, Dr. Ahmed Rezq, Ambassador of the Health Sector of the African-Asian Union, emphasized the importance of cooperation between African and Asian peoples, expressing his pride in achieving the goals of the African-Asian Union, which is concerned with sustainable development projects for African and Asian peoples.
